Day 365 (a little late)

And just like that, summer is nearly over. It seems as if the the days have just flown by. There has been a lot of activity in the Livingston household. We will work on getting some of those stories up soon, but I wanted to take a moment to return to a post I started on July 10, 2018.

This day marked an important occasion for us at Missionary TECH Team. What is so special about this day? As the title will suggest, July 10 marked one year of service at TECH. Though some of those days might have felt predicable, I have come to learn that no day is typical, and there is no telling what things God will do. Every day has been a blessing, and some had more excitement then others (see posts Best Laid Plans part 1 and 2). Rather than walk you through my day (a la Day 1), I wanted to hit some of the snippets of Year One on this adventure.

- I have had the fun of renegotiating "the best" route to TECH at least five times. Over the course of the last year Longview has started numerous road construction projects. There is currently no route I can take that does not have work zones. It has been interesting to explore new ways to the same spot.

- After ten years of working on public schools, the first project lined up for me was a small private school that will soon begin construction.

-  Eric had the opportunity to travel to North Carolina assess the facilities at the beautiful JAARS Center.

-  The Livingston clan traveled over 2,700 miles in two weeks to visit current and potential prayer and financial partners in Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and North Texas. It was a long trip, but we saw God provide in some amazing ways.

- Lost a dear friend and longtime TECH servant in March. Still hard to believe he is gone, but we believe he is more alive now than he has ever been.

- Lost and bought a new van! This feat was a small thing to our God, but meant so much to us!

-  Went on the TECH retreat to Hot Springs, Arkansas. This was a wonderful time of fellowship and refreshing.

There is so much more we could share. We will continue to fill this blog with tidbits of what is happening and how God is working, even on those days it feels like we are standing at the corner of Mundane and Grace. We have no idea what the Lord has in store for this year, but our prayer is that we would be faithful to the path He has called us to. We pray the same for you as well.
