Eric's last post had me thinking about Andrew Peterson's music. There are few musicians that we resonate with so often. One reason is he has a gift for telling God's story through time; for taking the people and events of scripture and crafting songs that capture the heart of the story. Like a glimpse of the front side of the tapestry.
Another wonderful telling of God's story is The Jesus Storybook Bible. We read this with the kids regularly. It talks through many Old and New Testament stories and points to the Jesus connection. It has opened several conversations with Liam and Hannah about Jesus.
This beautiful Bible tells God's story in a simple way and still points to the complex connections and themes God has woven through the history of His people. Definitely worth checking out. But (to borrow a phrase) you don't have to take my word for it!
