After the New Year, Eric got back from the Urbana Conference (don't worry, more details to come!) And we finally had a week to spend together! We played games, watched TV, ignored the laundry, and had a lot of fun just being together.
Hannah and Ranen went back to school a day before Liam had to so I got a bonus day! I love these rare moments that I get with the kids one-on-one. We played on the Wii and even squeezed in a trip to our favorite yogurt shop before picking the girls up.
Then we celebrated my birthday. My brother made a cake for me with candied strawberries and homemade strawberry puree. It was great to be with family!
I went on a retreat with the kids ministry team at our church. We talked and dreamed about what we want for the kids this year. Then the ladies took me on my first IKEA trip.
Eric and I were also able to get away for a weekend and enjoy a wonderful time just the two of us. We even got to cheer our local minor league hockey team to victory!
This has been a FULL January and we have had so much fun! We don't often keep such a busy calendar and I (Katie, the extrovert) enjoyed the change of pace. God provided so many opportunities for sharing and rejuvenating this month!
