Mighty Crew of Misfits

What do you think of when you ponder the church? Lately I have been struck by the make-up of the apostles and early church. This ragtag group of people is not who I would choose to entrust the Gospel to. Yet, looking at my own life, I am not who I would choose either. But God, in His great wisdom, choses this mighty crew of misfits that He calls His church to reach the world. There are days when all I see is the brokenness of my fellow brothers and sisters, but He is always good to remind me of my own brokenness and that I am His not because of anything I have done. He has invited us to the table. I recently stumbled across the song included here and the spirit has used it to refresh my soul. May it be a blessing to you as well.
