My Favorite Summer Reading: Katie

We are sharing what books we have enjoyed reading over the summer! In this last post, Katie will share.

Q: What has been your favorite book to read over the summer?

A: “The Faithful Spy” by John Hendrix

Q: What do you like about the book?

A: I like learning more about Bonhoeffer and how he came to oppose the Nazi parties. I found it interesting to learn how he came to believe so strongly and yet struggled to feel the presence of God at times in his life.

Q: What have you learned from the book?

A: I was reminded that when we follow God, we aren’t promised an easy or happy path but that God will never abandon us. I was reminded to be faithful to listen to the Holy Spirit’s leading.
