Thanksgiving on the mend

Updated: Nov 29, 2019

Sometimes the cynic in me thinks when someone wishes a Happy Thanksgiving they mean one in which you eat lots of turkey, take a nap, and watch football. This year for us certainly would not qualify.

Thanksgiving this year was spent bedside at our local hospital. Katie was admitted Wednesday with pnumonia and dehydration. With family in town this certainly is not how we would have chosen to spend the holiday. However, this Thanksgiving reminded me of what I am truly grateful for and added a few.

We are thankful for family and friends who have helped is through these past few days.

We are thankful for the nurses and hospital staff who worked tirelessly through the holiday to care for her. They have been amazing.

We are thankful for a God who sent His son that we might have relationship with him, who cares for us and comforts us even when life feels like it has gone off the rails.

We are thankful for you and your prayers. Thank you for all you do so we can serve through TECH.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving, no matter where you spend it!
